ArcTanGent Festival 2015 | Preview

ArcTanGent Festival 2015 @ Fernhill Farm, Compton Martin. 20-22.08.15

Are you tired of the same old festival line-ups, year in, year out? Organisers with Mumford & Sons and Foo Fighters on speed dial? Well, have no fear; ArcTanGent is a festival that caters exclusively to the leftfielder, the post-rock aficionado, the headbanger and everyone else in between.

Now in its third year, following an upward trajectory that’s probably making some of its major competitors blush, any true festival goer should have this one marked on their summer schedule.

This year, the festival boasts its most impressive line up to date, with a number of big names and UK and European festival exclusives to bear witness to. Needless to say, working out the finer details on your clashfinder may prove difficult this time around.

For those who take the liberty of procuring early entry, you may have lucked out entirely as Leicester’s very own 65daysofstatic make a triumphant return to Fernhill Park, headlining the Yokhai Stage on Thursday. They are one of the festival’s many returning acts, performing alongside Cleft, Mutiny On The Bounty and Mylets.

However, Friday and Saturday pack the most bang for your buck. For those who like it heavy, Cult Of Luna, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Deafheaven and The Fall Of Troy have got you covered. Fancy something mathier? LITE, Deerhoof and Joan of Arc are your best bet. And for those who want something more electronic based, you can’t do better than Blanck Mass.

Even further down the roster, names like pg.lost, USA Nails, Rolo Tomassi, Sonance and That Fucking Tank prove almost too much to resist. So book your tickets, grab those wellies and have a festival experience like no other this August. You know you want to.
