BBC 6 Music festival comes to Bristol | NEWS

Hey, sit down. Put down that cup of tea. Turn off the TV. I’ve got something to tell you. No, no it’s good news. If you haven’t already heard (and I’m kinda guessing you have as you clicked a link to get here), BBC 6 Music festival is coming to Bristol. Yes, the one off the radio. The one you like listening to Jarvis Cocker read poetry and stuff on.

This very afternoon they announced that this year’s location for the festival was indeed our very own city, with headliners Tricky, Roni Size and Primal Scream all playing. The festival is taking place in venues all over the city between the 12-14th of February, and whilst there is almost definitely going to be a whole host of spoken word, poetry and, obviously, music taking place, nothing else is being revealed until the 19th January. However, with artists like Jamie XX, The Cribs and Father John Misty playing last year’s shindig in Newcastle, it’s fair to expect a whole, whole load more great artists. Let’s hope some of our own will be added to the line-up, eh?

Oh, and if we’re lucky, maybe Craig Charles will bring along his Truck of Funk.
