Blossoms | Preview
Blossoms @ Thekla, Bristol. 22.10.15.
It’s entirely refreshing when a band comes along flaunting something original and well-crafted. Blossoms are much more than just a bunch of guys from the dour outskirts of Manchester; instead they have collectively honed a sound that’s both inspired and beautiful.
Their music mainly deals with expectations, dreams and relationships and has choruses that come like euphoric boulders of hope amongst their many troubles. It feels like it’s been an agonising wait since they last showed their faces in Bristol, however the Stockport guys are coming to the rather fitting Thekla this October.
If you’re unsure of what to truly expect then a good place to start is the video of their appearance at SXSW, where they played tracks such as ‘Blown Rose’. Just you wait, this is guaranteed to be a memorable affair, so don’t let it escape you now.
