Another week has flown by and with it another exciting round-up of reviews to catch up on as we ease into the weekend. Here’s some of the best over the last 7 days.

PWR BTTM – 16 April | Exchange

On PWR BTTM‘s recent single ‘Big Beautiful Day’ Ben Hopkins speaks of combatting shitty people by “being your damn self” – it’s a simple and seemingly straight-forward message but one that feels imperative to their impassioned young fans. These young fans gather at the front of the stage almost an hour before the support are even due on, covered in glitter and rainbow flags, with their hands flailing in anticipation. Read more.

Rag ‘n’ Bone Man – 18 April | O2 Academy

Rag’n’Bone Man opened up with ‘Wolves’ before belting out an array of his hits. Before performing ‘Skins’ we were given insight into its unlikely origins, having originally written the song based on John Stark and Ygritte from TV series Game of Thrones. He explained how their love was forbidden as they were from two different worlds and as he performed the track, his voice beamed with emotion and understanding. The crowd joined in, moving him to silence, marking it as one of the highlights of the gig. Read more.
