Gigs of the Week: August 31st – September 6th

September is fast upon us which means two things – the end of summer (boo!) but also the start of touring season (yay!) as both local and national artists travel around one last lap across the country to showcase their music.

Electro pop duo Tender kick off their headline tour at The Louisiana in support of debut album Modern Addiction.

The Rupees @ Crofter’s Rights / Tickets

The Rupees are ready to rock the stage at The Crofter’s Rights with their frantic indie rock sounds.

Sat, 2nd September

Avec Sans @ Old Market Assembly / Tickets

Manchester duo Avec Sans bring their slick production and electro pop melodies to the Old Market Assembly to kick off the weekend’s action.

The Underdog: Grand Final @ O2 Academy / Tickets

The Underdog returns to O2 Academy for its grand final – featuring 6 band finalists to compete for the £1,000 grand prize money.

Sun, 3rd September

Omni @ The Louisiana / Tickets

The brainchild of three former Deerhunter / Carnivores members return to Bristol. Expect the Atlanta natives to ripple the marina with their own brand of jangled post-punk.

Horsey @ Crofter’s Rights / Tickets

Jacob of Jerkcurb’s new band Horsey make their Bristol debut, showcasing their unique brand of manic twisted anthems.

Tues, 5th September

Paul Kelly @ Thekla / Tickets

With ninth studio albums under his belt, Paul Kelly will be showcasing his acclaimed collection on the Thekla stage.

Sun Araw @ Crofter’s Rights / Tickets

Sun Araw’s freewheeling spirit and creative juices return to Bristol in support of their new album Saddle Of The Increate.

Girlpool @ Thekla / Tickets

H Hawklike @ Crofter’s Rights / Tickets

The craft and pop mechanics of Welsh indie rocker Huw Gwynfryn Evans, better known by the nom de plume H. Hawkline will be taking over The Crofter’s Rights.
