On the eve of the release of their second album, Joy As An Act Of Resistance, Idles have announced two special album release shows.

Taking place at Rough Trade, the shows are set for the 31st August, the day of the albums release, and will see the Bristol punks play a 3pm matinee and a 7.30pm set. The band will also sign copies of the record at both shows.

Tickets are available when pre-ordering the album from Rough Trade, either online or within the Bristol store.

You can read Rhys Buchanan’s five-star review of the record in this month’s issue of Bristol Live Magazine, either online here or in print from Friday.

The group recently shared the new video for third single ‘Samaritans’, a song that “encourages a conversation about gender roles” and strikes at toxic masculinity. Watch below.

Idles head out on a world tour this Autumn, including playing an already sold-out show at SWX with Heavy Lungs on 16th October.
