8th March | The Fleece

A band that I could not be rooting more for; a band that you should also be rooting for. Bristol post punk five piece Idles have smashed the music scene with their hard hitting lyrics in an age of social collapse; from the NHS to Mary Berry - these guys are brutally honest, relevant and do not hold back.

Gaining recognition from the likes of Annie Mac and Huw Stephens, the boys started their year with a bang recording at Maida Vale studios for BBC Introducing in the West and are currently being added to festival line ups left, right and centre. Now heading off on their biggest tour to date, Idles promote their debut album Brutalism and will stop in their hometown of Bristol to play The Fleece on 8th of March.

I’m no stranger to an Idles gig and it is nothing short of intense, mind blowing and straight up savage, describing themselves as - “A nosebleed to the ears” their shows are not for the fainthearted.

It is bound to be an absolute killer show, get ready for night of blood, sweat and maybe tears - the Bristol show is a sell-out but there are tickets for alternative dates, it really is a show not to miss.
