It’s now 2016 proper and, hey, maybe it’s time for our first international cover? Yep, we’re excited to bring you a mix a of local and not-so-local cover stars this year, starting excellent Madrid garagers Hinds. Our Christian chats to them about laying down their debut album despite barely having time for tapas last year.
This issue’s Bristol heroes are the ever-vital Velcro Hooks, who tell us about how putting together their debut nearly destroyed the band, plus tales of rockshow madness from days gone by.
We also take a quick look at arguably the most exciting event in Bristol for a while – 6Music Festival, which sees the BBC’s amazing conduit for new music set up shop in our fair city, 12-14th. An amazing number of venues are also rallying together to form impressive fringe events. What a month, eh?
So rejoice: Touring season is up and running once more, and by God it’s with a bang.
