Jungle have had a pretty incredible twelve months. Before we even knew what they looked like, songs such as ‘The Heat’, ‘Busy Earnin” and ‘Platoon’ quickly gained critical momentum, with just about everyone dissecting the choreographed videos for a glimpse of the band themselves. As festival season came around, we found out that Jungle are a collective based in London, with childhood pals Josh and Tom at the forefront of the song-writing and production. They packed out the tent at Reading festival, for what was to be one of the most hyped and most anticipated performances of the year. Complete with matching ‘Jungle’ bomber jackets, this sleek and soulful group more than proved themselves against the hype-haters.
Over the past few weeks, things have only got better. With a prestigious nomination from the Mercury Music Prize, the group’s self-titled debut album saw a continuation of their soulful, pop-infused groove that fans and critics alike have fallen head-over-heels in love with. Now embarking on their first headline tour across the country, they’ll be bringing their sought-after live show to Bristol’s Anson Rooms. Bring your dancing shoes, this is set to be a night to remember.
