Massive Attack unveil two new songs via sensory app

Massive Attack have shared two new songs titled ‘Come Near Me’ and ‘The Spoils’ via their sensory app, Fantom. The app does a great job of remixing the tracks; it uses “environmental variables like location, time of day, heartbeat, movement and the integral moving image camera” to morph them into a Massive Attack inspired masterpiece.

You can get involved with the process too – with the app allowing the user to “create and record unique audio-visual clips,” which you can then show off to your pals on social media. The band originally shared the app earlier this year, launching new music from their EP that featured collabs with Tricky, Azekel, Roots Manuva, and Young Fathers.

We were told to expect a full album from Massive Attack in 2016; are the band sharing some sneak previews?
