There’s something oddly satisfying about an album being recorded in a bedroom — we’re all suckers for that old notion of DIY after-all. Though needless to say, the first full-length from Milo’s Planes still exceeds expectation.
The album quickly bustles with confrontation, coming off through the creative use of pedals and dog-eared vocals. It’s anything but clean, in fact it’s all over the show; but that’s what we’ve grown to love about these guys. Don’t get the impression that they’re incapable of evoking intimacy either, the trio have really upped their game with this effort.
