Saviour of pop music, Ed Sheeran, revealed today via Twitter an “open call” for dancers wanting to appear in the video for upcoming single ‘Boy Feelings’.

Due to be filmed on Stoke’s Croft 21-24th April, Bristolians are invited to tweet videos showing off their best moves, using the hashtag #SheerTalent for a chance to be chosen to appear.

“Stokes Croft in Bristol is a perfect fit for Ed,” our contact at Atlantic Records told us. “Having proudly received five MOBO Award nominations across 2011, 12 and 14, he likes the whole ‘black culture usurped by white millennials’ vibe you guys have going on there.”

Such excitement hasn’t hit the Southwest since 2014, when One Direction’s ‘You & I’ was shot on nearby – and extremely chilly – Clevedon Pier, during which the lesser-known Liam suffered mild pneumonia and had to be replaced by a heavily made-up Gary Barlow on three European tour dates.

Open call closes midnight on Friday.

To those still unclear about whether Ed Sheeran is really shooting in Bristol (or if Gary Barlow really did secretly join One Direction): This was BLM’s 2017 ‘April Fools’.
