Nearly everyone has watched live music with a beer in hand. It’s unavoidable. Whether its a smuggled-in tinnie or a extortionate pint from a bar, beer is a staple of the live music scene. Whatever the situation, the key theme running between all these experiences is that the beer is, let’s be honest, not very good.
Brewery Signature Brew and Bristol new music and beer discovery website The Backstage Record want to change all of that. Signature Brew are aiming to bring good beers into the music industry, so far having worked with the likes of Frank Turner, Enter Shikari, The Skints and Hospital Records on beers that perfectly compliment their music.
The Backstage Record are getting Signature Brews exciting selection of beers down to Bristol for the first time on Wednesday 22 March at the Beer Emporium (where else). The website has also lined up a trio of brilliant acts, Nick Parker, Nicholson Heal and Al Fraser Green, to play in the bar.
Rhys Buchanan, editor of Backstage Record, said: “The Bristol beer community is amongst the most forward thinking in the country, so it’s a great chance for music and beer fans to come down and try these drinks for the first time in the city. It’s free entry and there’s even the chance to win some beers.”
