Leeds indie-rockers The Pigeon Detectives’ fifth album Broken Glances promised a “contemplative, more eclectic” offering than previous releases, which we certainly got a taste of with lead single ‘Lose Control’ released late last year.

Now taking their new material on tour this Spring – calling into port at Thekla this Monday – not only can we expect to experience one of their most reflective albums so far, but we get the extra bangers thrown in too which made us fall in love with the five-piece way back when. Catching many’s attention with ‘This Is An Emergency’, ‘I’m Not Sorry’ and ‘Take Her Back’, The Pigeon Detectives’ back catalogue leaves little to be ignored, and plenty to rock away those dreary Monday blues.

Having described Broken Glances as “an ode to anyone that’s ever turned up to a show”, the boys promise to bring a whole lot of loving for the steadfast fans, with real songwriting to deliver a message of thanks and appreciation – with killer trademark riffs and oh-so-fun to chant soaring choruses.
