Following the fairly cryptic message posted at the beginning of the summer, record shop Rise has announced it will be changing into a Rough Trade as well as moving location.

The legendary record shop chain has two locations in London and one in Nottingham, so the location of one in Bristol is pretty special. In a Facebook and Twitter post, Rise said that this was simply one chapter of its story finishing, and confirmed that it will be the same passionate staff running the store.

Rise also said in its statement that the it has been working with Rough Trade for a few years. The new shop will feature a cafe, bar and live performance space.

There is still no word on the shop’s new location, but in the meantime Rise is still running its summer-long sale, so pop in and grab a bargain.
