Simple Things festival has announced the festival’s second edition of its Simple Things EXT. programme, with three seperate days of events, including a performance from post-techno pioneer GAS.

Supported by Arts Council England, the festival includes not just musical performances, but discussions, workshops and panels over three separate days. This year’s event will see Simple Things partner with Bristol Woman in Music for an evening at the Watershed on 14th November.

Check the timetable now:

  • 1930 – 2015: The Gender Trend: Remaining authentic when tackling equality. (Panel discussion and Q&A)
  • 2015 – 2045: Image and Identity in the modern music industry: A Round Table Discussion. (Open workshop after the panel discussion)
  • 2045 – 2130: Assemble: An informal opportunity to network, connect and socialise
  • 2030 – 22.00: Mix Nights: Resident DJs of BWiM Mix Nights workshops

There are also two evenings of music, both of which are being held in Bristol’s IMAX. The first, on 23rd November, will plunge you into three incredible boundary pushing audio-visual sets from Kayla Painter, Pan Daijing and Fatima Al Qadiri.

The second night picks up on the themes of experimentation, but this time under the watchful eye and pulsing electronics of German artist GAS, who is returning with his first new album in 17 years, Narkopop.

You can find tickets for all the above events here, and find out more about all the events on the Simple Things website.
