Stevie Parker has been slowly but surely building a following in Bristol and beyond with her dark, introspective and moving pop, and today has released her debut album The Cure.

The Bristol-based singer-songwriter first emerged about two years ago, charming tiny stages around Bristol, backed by her four-piece band. Since then, her beautifully written songs have evolved and grown, with her expansive sound conquering bigger and bigger venues.

The album includes her latest single ‘Prey’, and was produced by Grammy-award winning producer Jimmy Hogarth, who has worked with Amy Winehouse, Sia and Paulo Nutini. Stella Mozgawa, the drummer from Warpaint, also features on the record.

Make sure you sit down for 45 minutes today with no distractions, put on headphones and absorb yourself in the lush, emotional and beautiful sounds on The Cure.

Stevie is playing at The Great Escape tonight and is playing Rise tomorrow for her album launch.
