1st September | The Downs, Clifton
Having already announced a breadth of artists, including headliner Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, riotous punk trio Dream Wife and Texan psych-group Khruangbin, The Downs have announced another wave of acts for the festival in Clifton, featuring an array of exciting local music playing on the 1st September.
Recently enjoying extended plays on Radio 1 this past month, Harvey Causon brings his minimal, electronic-infused R&B to the fore. Joining him will be Bristol grunge-pop enthusiasts Sœur, the haunted sounds of hyped pop group Swimming Girls, and the cohesive alternative rock sound of Liverpool’s Paris Youth Foundation. They will all take to the Information Stage at the festival, which is now in its third year.
If that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, The Avon Stage boasts a wealth of legendary dance music artists, including a headline set from perennial electronic duo Orbital, a live performance from the revered DJ Goldie, and a DJ set from Basement Jaxx.
