Towns ‘Get By’ | Album Review

Towns 'Get By' | Howling Owl | 02.06.14.

Another owl shaped hole in the calendar, Towns debut album ‘Get By’ is the culmination of their long-time dedication to art that is psychedelic pop.

It’s about escapism; the baggy texture of this album floats right out of the Bristol streets, calling upon the rolling basslines of the 90’s on it’s way. With the fuzz of ‘Marbles’ and the sexy attitude of ‘Young At Heart’, Towns manage to muster their own identity in a line of genres that have been messed with since sideburns and gold chains were a thing. An album that will no doubt stick to the turntable like glue.
