Bristol’s Golden Age is a video series from UBTV Station, headed by the mind of Bristol band LICE’s Alastair Shuttleworth. Exploring the ins-and-outs of our bustling scene, each mini-documentary features a chat with the artists in question plus a few live gems. The series has covered the likes of Spectres, The Naturals, Rink and Oliver Wilde and now it’s time for one of the most exciting artists in Bristol, right now.
The tenth edition is a look at Silver Waves – an avant-garde act who produces jarring, electronic instrumentation. The moniker of Dylan Mallett, Silver Waves has quickly gained momentum throughout the city. As Shuttleworth explains, “Dylan ‘Silver Waves’ Mallett’s interest in effects pedals as guitarist for Francis Fear developed into a brand of fiercely-experimental and devastatingly-brutal electronic music.”
