Sœur want you to join their club. You see, Sœur means sister and if this year is anything to go by, we could all use the kind of company Sœur has to offer. Crafting a no-fucks-given attitude, the band are made up of Anya Pulver, Tina Maynard and James Collins, who’s output is devilishly in-your-face and refreshingly candid. “Music is a reminder of our innate connection to each other,” explains Anya, who along with Tina, co-produce the kind of lyrics you’ll be shouting in solidarity.

‘No Fire’ is comprised of interwoven lyricism, as Pulver and Maynard’s vocals truly know how to pack a punch. There’s an uncompromising power at play, as unapologetic riffs break through unwavering rhythms, producing the kind of climactic hooks that’ll stick in your head for days.

Produced Ali Chant – who has previously worked with Perfume Genius, PJ Harvey and Youth Lagoon – ‘No Fire’ is just a taster of Sœur’s undisputed, hooky talent. Performing with a gutsy, industrial strength, the band are able to balance a reflective poignancy within their songwriting. This is the start of a bright and bold future for a band who are doing it for themselves.
