Further to the steady stream of fantastic music coming out of Scotland these days, we enjoyed checking out this little taste of things to come from Glaswegian five-piece Washington Irving.

An edgier, more contemporary take on folk rock, you can hear plenty of Neutral Milk Hotel in there, or maybe even a Scottish Arcade Fire?

They’ll be touring with Frightened Rabbit in February, as well as headlining Glasgow’s Oran Mor on January 19th as part of Celtic Connections.
