Another day, another fantastic new band to shove in your ears. Today’s offering are Whistlejacket, a London based psychedelic five piece, and their new track ‘Duck Soup’.

“Give me some more information of this act you are trying to woo me with!” I hear you cry. Well give me a second and I will. Whistlejacket make brilliant shoegazey psychedelia, that writhes in feedback and noise, but has a sharpness and catchiness to make sure it doesn’t get lost in itself.

The boys are releasing their first EP ‘What I Ate on Sunday’ on the 5th of February via the brilliant Fierce Panda Records and to celebrate have decided to give you, yes you, a free download of the aforementioned new track ‘Duck Soup’. It’s a fantastic slice of sunshine psychedelia but with enough grit to distance itself from any Tame Impala comparisons.

They spent last year busily putting on their own nights and nabbing supporting slots for the likes of DiiV, Bully and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Expect to see them exiting the confines of the M25 and venturing further afield in the new year, but in the meantime get downloading.
