Royal Blood | Preview

Royal Blood surprised themselves when their debut album entered at number one recently. The release follows a summer of rumbling their tried and tested garage blues on stages at Glastonbury, T In The Park and Reading. The next stop? Bristol’s Bierkeller, obviously.

Well almost. The date comes at the end of their upcoming UK tour, which sold out in an impressive two minutes. So if you’re reading this and wanting to go along - probably start scouring ebay or hatching an elaborate theft. It’s an exciting movement, in that such a calibre of act would usually opt for a bigger venue, such as the Academy or larger. The show will no doubt bring a few new faces into the venue, which over the years has seen performances from The Stone Roses, Nirvana and Blur.

Another sweetener is the support act; Bristol’s very own Turbowolf. Every inch as exciting (if not more) as the headline act, their last single ‘Solid Gold’ was thumping with something fiercely heavy. You can’t go too wrong if you’re holding a ticket for this gig really. Bierkeller lets be having you.
