Love Saves The Day | In Photos

Despite the torrential rain, thousands of festival goers and hardy Bristolians donned their party outfits and ponchos to attend the much anticipated Love Saves the Day one day festival in Castle Park in Bristol. With an awesome line up of local acts and big names it was sure to be a hit whatever the weather. The only criticisms being the stupidly long queues at the bar, the organisers not realising the population of Bristol’s need for cider at all times, a couple more bars would remedy this problem for next year, and I sincerely hope there will be a next year. The sound at the just jack stage was also a source of complaint as it was pretty quiet for an outdoor stage, a bit more from the speakers would have been perfect.

The venue was perfect as the park could host many stages and areas with a hill overlooking the main stage so there was ample space for people to see the biggest acts, the highlights of the main stage being Annie Mac and Foreign Beggars. Walking past the venue by the front entrance however was the Red Bull stage drawing a big crowd from the beginning, keeping the ravers going all day and into the night with acts such as the Crazylegs and Futureboogie DJ’s, always a big hit with the Bristol crowd and onto Joy Orbison and Pearson Sound. One of the most anticipated stages of the day was the Just Jack stage, with regular nights at motion and all around Bristol, this stage was sure to bring a big crowd all day, many people running over for Jamie Jones who smashed it. For those who wanted something a little more personal with a smaller stage, the Tokyo Dub stage had the perfect location, with buggsy bringing it earlier on in the day.
