Swim Deep - ‘Simmer’ | Single Review

Words: Laura Eley
Flip side to the summer-washed haze of ‘She Changes The Weather’ comes the drowsy piano chords and drifting croons of ‘Simmer.’ A languid affair, the track wraps its melodies around you, transporting you to hot summer days when worries are washed away.

Taken from their forthcoming debut ‘Where The Heaven Are We’, due for release this July, ‘Simmer’ showcases the Birmingham quartet’s softer side.

Suppressed with a prolonged intro, until Austin William’s feather-light croon cuts in under an ongoing piano melody and airy percussion, the track oozes beachy, sun-shot bliss - the perfect song for any summer soundtrack.
