Love it or hate it, Record Store Day is back on April 16th, taking place across your favourite independent stores. With the usual overnight queues and David Bowie 7 inches expected, there are some gems in the initial release schedule, announced today.

The likes of Best Coast, CHVRCHES, Albert Hammond Jr, Cheap Trick and er, Justin Bieber are all taking part, with exclusive remixes, never-before-heard b-sides and special edition albums. Other acts include indie favourites Hot Hot Heat, punk’s Anti-Flag and man-of-the-people Frank Turner.

Whilst it’ll be difficult to ignore your anger towards the ebay-sellers and Warner Bros. takovers, the day itself will include performances and special releases from local acts. Keep your eye on the Rise website for further information closer to the date.
