Yet another fantastic festival lineup has been gifted to us to help us out these dark winter months. This one comes from the brilliant Farm Fest, held every year in Somerset and which will be taking place on the 29th and 30th of July this summer. Those of you expecting an agricultural bonanza may be left disappointed, but those of you wanting some awesome acts to lose a weekend to, you’re in for a treat.

The first wave of acts includes Mercury winning trio Young Fathers, the constantly funky Hot 8 Brass Band and acoustic explorers GoGo Penguin. Along with this pretty solid start, expect to move you feet to 90’s ravers Bentley Rhythm Ace and the electronic worlds of Lone.

This year will also see the BBC’s Gilles Peterson perform at his very special Combine harvester stage along with his favourite DJ Lefto, Bristolian Kowton and the Late Night Tales guys helping to hold down the fort.

All this plus a handpicked line up of local comedians and spoken word artists playing at the cleverly named Comedy and Spoken Word tent. Chuck a load of acting and art workshops in the mix as well, and you’ve got yourself a pretty exciting weekend, so pencil it in your diaries. Grab tickets from the Farm Fest website.
