Everyone’s favourite club-hopping festival, Rave on Avon has announced it’s return for this year! Taking place in what seems like pretty much every bar in Stokes Croft, the festival serves as an opening party to an endless summer of festivals, and is a chance to listen to some of the best dance music artists that Bristol have to offer.
Taking place on the 14th of May, this years event has its acts performing under the umbrella of ‘The Mixtape Sessions’. Every set will be curated to sound like the perfect mixtape, and as we all know from John Cusack in High Fidelity, a lot of thought goes into making a mixtape. The organisers say that this year is going to be even more extra special and with a huge array of acts, including Baby Bam, Gotsome, Slipmatt, High Rankin and DJ Cheeba b2b DJ Moneyshot all in headlining slots, you should have no reason to doubt them.
As per every other year, the day time part of the festival is free to all, and there’s a small wristband fee for the evening, which are available to buy from either Bristol Ticket Shop or Idle Hands in Stokes Croft.
All the proceeds from the event go towards funding Brisfest, thus continuing the never-ending cycle of fun. For the full line-up and more information head to the Brisfest website.
